Emiliano Brooks began photographing over 15 years ago, while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Stationed in Okinawa, Japan, he purchased his first camera to document his life as a Marine on foreign soil. Following his honorable discharge in 1997, he returned to sunny South Florida, continuing to take photos whenever possible without a thought of making photography his career.
After seven years working as Director of Operations for a technology company, the owners decided to invest in a small real estate marketing business. Seizing the opportunity, Emiliano accepted the general manager position while still fulfilling his other position -- all while taking a full course-load at Florida Atlantic University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
While maintaining a full plate, working between two companies and attending college, employee turnover resulted in Emiliano taking on even more responsibility. As a result, he become the primary graphics designer and photographer for interior / exterior / aerial photography for the company’s clientele.
In 2006, he and his wife moved to New York City and after years spent running others companies, he decided it was time for a change. Given his perfectionist attitude, tireless ambition, and the desire to work for himself, photography and design was a natural next move. Since then, he has developed a formidable repertoire of photography, including environmental graphics, concerts, and custom work with any photography subject.
